Mike Lorelli is an experienced CEO and outside director. As a CEO, he led 4 portfolio company engagements, with Riverside Company, Pouschine Cook Capital Management, and Rutledge Capital. Previously, Mike has been a PepsiCo division president, twice. At PepsiCo, he built out Pizza Hut’s international footprint, as President in the 1990’s. Mike is also on the Boards of iControl, C.P. Kelco, and Axxune. He is Masters Level accredited at both The American College of Corporate Directors, and the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Mike has his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He also served as Interim CEO at Rita’s in 2013.
John Dombroski joined Rita’s in July 2013 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. John is responsible for leading Rita’s financial, information technology, and human resource functions.
His 30-year career spans extensive expertise in finance, supply chain/purchasing, operations and strategic planning. He most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for Sancoa International Company. Prior to Sancoa, he held senior financial positions with Hasbro, Inc. and Campbell Soup Company.
John is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, and has a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Drexel University. He is a Coopers & Lybrand trained Certified Public Accountant, as well as a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor.
John’s favorite treat is a Mango Italian Ice.
Phyllis Levy joined the Rita’s team in 2017 as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. A graduate of The Wharton School with an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing, Phyllis is a nationally respected developer, acquirer, and marketer of new products and services for companies such as Campbell Soup, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft Foods, and GlaxoSmithKline.
Phyllis’s career spans over 30 years as both an executive within and as a consultant to Fortune 500 firms in the food, pharmaceutical, and general consumer packaged goods industries. She is passionate about the creation of successful beneficial new food business ventures that address consumer needs and provide profitable returns to the company shareholders and investors. She particularly appreciates the complexities of the foodservice industry, having served as a management consultant for several years to Steak ’n Shake Corporation, and most recently was VP-Workplace Solutions for ARAMARK.
Phyllis is is very excited about helping to drive the multiple opportunities for significant profitable growth at Rita’s. She’s responsible for establishing strategic marketing plans as well as driving product innovation, brand management and creative consumer communication on all levels. Her favorite Rita’s treat is the new Hand Crafted Frozen Custard!
As Senior Vice President of Operations, Lauriena Borstein is responsible for leading Rita’s operations, education, and procurement departments, as well as Cool University, Rita’s corporate store and training center. Lauriena and her team are responsible for supporting Rita’s Franchisees from the time they sign their franchise agreements, through development, and during the entire time their store is in operation.
Lauriena began her career with Rita’s in March 2006 as a Franchise Licensing Associate, and was promoted in 2009 to Director of Franchising. In this role, Lauriena led the Franchising Department and successfully grew Rita’s to 550 stores in 19 states. She’s made many valuable contributions and has worked very closely with all departments in the business to ensure Rita’s is successful as a whole.
Prior to Rita’s, Lauriena worked as a Financial Advisor for Ameriprise Financial. She is a graduate of The College of New Jersey. She’s an avid reader, and enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
